DeVault Day 1
Game 1
Game 1 today was between the Yankees and the Cyclones. Yankees take an early 5-0 lead in the first off a few base hits up the middle. Defense was key in this game. Both teams looked very solid defensively making plays and just being very fundamental. Pitching was good too, lots of strikes thrown by both pitchers, Durmaz and Bailey. Durmaz hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 5th, making the Yankees lead 7-1.RBI groundout for Holmes makes the score 7-2. Welington follows up with an RBI single, 7-3 the score. 7-4 final score.
Game 2
Tri Star takes on the Cyclones in game 2 at DeVault. Tri Star jumps on top 1-0 in the first on an RBI double from LaRue. Fielder’s choice to center from Sapp gets the Cyclones on the board. Tri Star score on back to back pass balls, giving them a 3-2 lead in the 2nd. Wellington hits a leadoff triple in the top of the 4th for the Cyclones. Inside the park homerun from Kohring gives the Tri Star an 7-6 lead after 4 innings of play. 7-6 final.
Game 3
Yankees and Tri Star take game 3 today. Durmaz hits a 2 run single to put the Yankees on the board 2-0 in the first. Sac fly from Larue gets Tri Star on the board in the first, 2-1. Myers hits a leadoff double for the Yankees in the top of the 3rd. Kremblas extends the lead to 3-1 in the third with a single. Final score 6-3 Yankees.
Game 4
Sox and BC play the final game of day 1 today here at DeVault. BC gets on the board on a walk from Mashburn to give them a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd. Cox follows up with a walk of his own making it 3-0. Base hit from Fritts gets the Sox on the board, 5-1 in the 3rd. Sox score 2 on a single from Tarraca. 6-4 final score, BC wins.
DeVault Day 2
Game 1
Diamond Mine play Blaze baseball. Blaze get on top scoring 2 in the first. They add to their lead on an RBI infield single from Carson, 3-0 in the 2nd . DM tie the game in the 3rd with a 2 RBI single from Stevens. Will hits an inside the park homerun to give the Blaze a 7-3 lead in the bottom of the 5th. RBI single from Will gives the Blaze a 10-3 lead. Jace follows up with an RBI single of his own making it 11-3. 11-3 Final score.
Game 2
Diamond Mine play the Crusaders in game 2. DM get 1 in the top of the first. Crusaders get on the board in the bottom of the first with a 2 RBI single from Belcher. RBI double from Dickenson extends the Crusader lead to 4-1 in the 6th . Sac fly from Richards gives the Crusaders a 5-1 lead to end out the 6th . 5-1 the final score.
Game 3
Blaze play Tri Star in game 3 at DeVault. Josh scores for the Blaze to give them the early 1-0 lead in the 1st . 2 run single from Hoffman puts Tri Star on the board, 3-2 in the bottom of the 3rd . Sac fly from Kohring ties the game, followed by an RBI single from Rosa to give them a 4-3 lead. 2 RBI double from Hoffman to make it 7-3 to end out the 3rd inning. Johnson walks to give them a 10-3 score in the 5th . 3 RBI triple for Tri Star gives them a 13-3 win.
Game 4
Yankees play the Diamond USA in game 4 at DeVault. Yankees put up a run in the first taking the 1-0 lead on an RBI single from Scott. Scott strikes again with an RBI double in the 3rd , giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead. Myers follows up with an RBI single of his own, 4-0. Durmaz hits a sac fly to center giving them a 5-0 lead in the 3rd . Suggs with a 2-run single gets USA on the board, 5-2. 8-4 final score.
Game 5
Diamond Nation plays Cyclones for the final game of the day here at DeVault. Cyclones get on top early in the top of the 2nd on a pass ball, giving them a 1-0 lead. 2 RBI single from Holmes gives the Cyclones a 6-0 lead in the second. Wellington follows up with a single to make the score 7-0 in the 2nd for the Cyclones. Cyclones strike again in the 3rd scoring 2 off a single from Sapp, giving them a 9-1 lead in the 3rd inning. 2 run single from Fubank gives the Cyclones a 12-2 lead in the 5th . 12-2 final score.
DeVault Day 3
Game 1
Diamond Mine plays the JC Sox in game 1 today. Case draws a walk in the first to give DM a 2-0 lead, then Aycock gets an RBI single to make it a 3-0 lead. 2 RBI triple from Aycock gives DM a 5-0 lead. Boyneniz walks to get the Sox on the board in the 4th , 8-1. Kittrell gets a leadoff triple for the DM in the 5th . Ring follows up with a single to score for DM, giving them a 9-1 advantage in the 5th .
Game 2
Crusaders play the Blaze in game 2 today. Crusaders get on top in the bottom of the first on an RBI single from Barton to give them a 1-0 lead. 2 run triple from Dickenson gives the Crusaders a 3-0 lead. Belcher
follows up with a single to make it 4-0 in the first. Sac fly from Haynes gives the Crusaders a 6-0 lead. Belcher hits a single to give the Crusaders an 8-0 lead and go on to win 10-0 in 4.
Game 3
Yankees and Tri Star play in game 3 today at DeVault for the other semifinal game. Pitching on both sides have been good this game. Lots of strikes, defense b=making plays, very well played ball game. Scott gets a single to right to put the Yankees up 3-1 in the 6th inning. LaRue hits a double to score a run for Tri Star, 3-2 in the 7th . Tri Star ties it in the 7th , 3-3. Bunt single from Tallant gives Tri Star a 4-3 lead in the 8th. Sac fly from Scott ties the game for the Yankees in the bottom of the 8th . LaRue hits in 2 runs with a double down the left field line in the 9th , 6-4 Tri Star. Durmaz walks for the Yankees, 6-5. Tri Star holds on to win, 6-5.
