DaVault Day 1

Game 1

Nats and Cross Hit played game one of the day. Logen Sutton hits in McCarley with a double to give the Nats an early 1-0 lead in the first. They went up 2-0 after a single from Adam Quincy. Tanner Park, right fielder for Cross Hit, threw out a runner at home, showing his good arm strength. Evans gave the Nats a 3-0 lead with a single to right. Sutton, with another RBI double, put the Nats up 4-0. Merrick walked to put the Nats 5-0 in the third. Sutton led off the bottom of the fifth with his third double of the day. He later scored on a passed ball, putting the Nats up 6-1. Merrick also hit a standup double down the right field line. He scored later, making the score 7-1. Sutton hit his fourth double of the day getting three more RBIs to end the game, Nats win 10-1.

Game 2

AASA and the Rockets played in game two today. A sac fly to left gave the Rockets a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth. The game had been a pitcher’s duel up to that point, all guys throwing well, lots of strikes. Sarginger hit a two-run single to give AASA a 3-2 lead. AASA took a 4-2 lead, going into the top of the seventh. Florman hit a double for the Rockets in the top of the seventh, followed by an RBI ground from Ryan. McBride ties the game for the Rockets. 4-4 final.

Game 3

The Fury and Armoloy played in game three. An RBI triple from Jackson Key put the Fury up 1-0 in the top of the second. A two-run single from Dibert, tied the game in the second with a base hit to right. Kirby, with an RBI groundout, gave Armoloy a 3-2 lead in the third. Final score 4-2.

DeVault day 2

Game 1

TN Select and the Thunder led off with the first game today. The first half of the game was a pitcher’s duel between Stinger for the Thunder, and Truax for the Select. Thunder catcher Nilsson threw out two runners up to this point, showing a good arm. Thunder got on the board in the bottom of the third with an RBI single from Murphy. RBI fielder’s choice for Sturm made the score 2-0. An RBI single from Laspesa put the Thunder up 3-0. S. Murphy put the ball in play with the bases loaded to give the Thunder a 4-0 lead. A two-run RBI single from Sturm gave the Thunder a 6-0 lead. 8-0 final score.

Game 2

Game two was between the Thunder and 323. Thunder got on the board in the first on an RBI single from Bolen. 323 got on the board with an RBI double from T. Seritt. The game stood at 3-2 after an RBI single from B. Seritt. It was a 4-3 lead for 323 following a two-run RBI single from Hetz. An RBI double from T. Serritt, gave 323 a 7-3 lead in the second inning. An RBI single for Nilsson got the Thunder within five in the fourth . Sac fly for Autry put the score at 10-5, 323 leading. Harrison followed up with an RBI single, 11-5. An RBI double for Ford, put 323 up 13-5 in the fourth . 13-7 final score.

Game 3

Intimidators played AASA in game three today. Base hit for Sewell gave the Intimidators a 3-0 lead in the fifth. Cole Hartsock pitched well AASA, striking out eight. A two run RBI single from #8 Millinger put AASA on the board. Down 3-2, Mann had his second hit of the game, evening the score it up 3-3. Final score, 4-3.

Game 4

Mizuno played Arsenal baseball in game four at DeVault Stadium. An RBI single from Lee put Arsenal up 2-0. Whittenburg and Webb combined for the complete game shutout for Arsenal. They both showed great signs of awareness and location. Their pitchers kept the batters off balance all game long, well done.

Game 5

Armoloy played AASA National in game today. #18 Vanword hit an infield single to get Armoloy on the board 1-0 in the first. AASA got on the board in the bottom of the first, making the score an even 1-1. A sac fly for #42 Brents gave Armoloy a 2-1 lead. Kobe threw a complete game for AASA, giving up two total runs, he pitched a gem. The Armoloy staff threw a combined one-run ballgame, all throwing well and finding the zone. Both defenses had many good plays, each turning a few double plays. It was a well played ball game. 2-1 final score.

Game 6

Nationals and Diamond Mine took the sixth and final game of the day here at DeVault. Nationals scored two runs in the second. Wade and Dew walked back-to-back to score two runs for the Nationals, giving them an 8-0 lead in the sixth. McCarley walked to score another run for the Nationals. 9-0 final score for the Nationals.

DaVault Day 3

Game 1

AASA Elite took on the Roswell Hornets in game one. #24 Elliot hit a double in the bottom of the first to give the Hornets an early 1-0 lead. RBI double for Jack Moore 4-0 lead for the Hornets. RBI single for Samaran, 6-0 Hornets. An infield single from Duel gave the Hornets a 7-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. A passed ball scored another run, 8-0 Hornets after four. Cook got AASA on the board scoring Mann, making the score 8-1 in the fifth . 8-2 final score, AASA.

Game 2

Arsenal Black took on HK in the first game of bracket play today. An RBI double in the bottom of the first for Petry for the Arsenal, gave an early 1-0 lead. HK tie it up with an RBI single from their #4 right fielder. An RBI single from #7 Gervasill moved the score to 2-1 HK. Morris hit a single to right to score a run, making the score 3-1. 5-3 final score.

Game 3

Arsenal Black went up against Arsenal Gold in game three. Fiegle got Black ahead 1-0 in the first inning. Petry hit an RBI triple to give Black a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth . Then back-to-back singles from Fiegle and Adkisson gave them a 4-0 lead. Final 4-0.

Game 4

Generals and Rockets took game four here at DeVault. Ferguson hit a sac fly to give the Generals a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth . Rockets got on the board in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double from Babb. Ball hit a single to score a run for the Rockets, tying the game at two. Ryan Jessee walked to give the Rockets the lead. Tripper hit a two-run single in the fifth to give them a 5-2 lead. Cade Fleeman hit an RBI double, 6-2 Rockets. A sac fly from Babb extended the lead to 7-2. Ward gets an RBI single to bring the generals within one. Rockets win 7-6.

Game 5

Rockets played the Arsenal in the championship game for the 16U division. Rockets got on the board early off a two-run RBI double from McCallister. Johnson followed up with an RBI double to extend the lead to 3-0 in the first inning. Rockets struck again in the bottom of the fourth with an infield single from Powell to give them a 4-0 lead. Powell pitched a complete game shutout for the Rockets, very well pitched game. Rockets win the tourney.
